My ideal reunion between John and Sherlock

After three years of living in an apartment by himself John finally works up the courage to go back to 221B and clear out Sherlock’s things. When John reaches the door he takes a deep breath and goes for it the same way a swimmer would before jumping into cold water. John walks in and looks around slowly, it’s strange to be back in their apartment after so long.

Then John turns around. And there sits Sherlock conducting an experiment in the kitchen as if the last three years hadn’t happened. Just a terrible dream that John’s vivid imagination conjured up. An inhuman sound emits from John’s mouth that vaguely resembles Sherlock’s name. This forces Sherlock to tear himself away from his work and look up.

Despite all efforts John breaks down. He fears he has gone insane, he’s overjoyed, and he’s angry. Without anyway to stop it John cries and finds himself on his knees. Sherlock walks over to John and tells him to get up. To the best of his ability John stands. Sherlock tells John to look him in the eye. When John has done so Sherlock apologizes in the most sincere way a sociopath taken out of society for three years can. Which to John probably doesn’t appear so sincere. Sherlock then attempts a quick and terribly awkward hug. He’s never really bothered to learn the mechanics of normal social behavior and has become even more distant to it in the last three years.

Sherlock goes back to his studies and John attempts to comprehend what’s just happened. Then they cut to the opening sequence.

‘Steven Moffat, showrunner for the long-running science fiction show, tells us the eleventh doctor will be in for a change in his attire this upcoming series. Following the departure of companions Amy and Rory Pond, the doctor will reportedly begin to despise his current style as it reminds him too much of the Ponds. “But not the bow tie,” Moffat says with a laugh. “The bow tie stays.”

So….my brain just went to leather jacket with a celery stalk pinned to it with the bow tie and Third Doctor’s ruffled shirts.
